What it is

A DHT-derivative considered one of the mildest injectable steroids. Available in injectable (enanthate) and oral (acetate) forms. The injectable form is far more common and less hepatotoxic. Does not aromatise.

What it does

Promotes slow, lean muscle gains with minimal water retention. Often used in cutting or recomposition phases. Does not aromatise. Provides a modest improvement in nitrogen retention and protein synthesis without the dramatic effects of stronger compounds.

Typical dosages

Injectable: 400-700mg per week is commonly reported (high doses needed due to mild potency). Oral: 50-100mg per day. Cycles are often 12-16 weeks for injectable. Should be run with a testosterone base. This is not a recommendation; it is what is commonly reported.

These figures reflect commonly reported usage in harm reduction communities. They are not recommendations. There is no safe dose of anabolic steroids for non-medical use. Start low and monitor your health through blood work.

Side effects

  • Mild androgenic effects (hair loss, acne) in predisposed individuals
  • The oral form is hepatotoxic (though less so than other oral steroids)
  • Suppression of natural testosterone
  • Mild impact on cholesterol
  • Injection site pain (reported more commonly than with some other injectables)

Specific risks

  • Counterfeits: due to high cost and popularity, Primobolan is one of the most faked compounds on the black market. Many 'Primo' products contain other cheaper steroids (often Boldenone). Testing your gear is essential
  • Cost-driven risk: the high price leads some users to substitute cheaper, more dangerous alternatives, or to purchase from less reliable sources
  • False sense of safety: the 'mild' label can lead users to skip blood work or PCT, which is a mistake because Primobolan still suppresses the HPTA

What to watch for

  • Verify authenticity of your product (high counterfeit risk)
  • Hair thinning or loss (mild but possible in predisposed individuals)
  • Blood work showing suppression, even though the compound is considered mild
  • If you experience significant side effects, the product may not be genuine Primobolan
